The hallway carpet was kind of worn and a bit gross looking, but it did not smell bad. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was so-so, but it was free, and the Starbucks coffee was good. Some hotels with the same Moonstone Beah walkability do not allow pets.

Room 104 has a full ocean view patio so you can listen to the waves all night. The toiletries don’t include any lotion (no big deal, I could have packed some but usually all hotels provide some so I stopped traveling with it) If you want a patio, make sure of that when you book. I brought my own but it’s a nice option to have. They offer room service breakfast for extra charge.

They assign 90min of pool use to allow for social distancing (been the first time I’ve been able to swim since March) The newly renovated rooms look as fantastic as the photos, like straight out of a West Elm catalogue. I had a wonderful stay and they are really doing everything they can to try and keep guests safe. I decided on the Fireside Inn and they were helpful and patient in answering my questions beforehand. To those people who complain about lack of housekeeping or complimentary breakfast at any hotel: Please read any of the COVID-19 protocols and then you’ll understand that these things are currently not possible.
